Paper proposal accepted to ISUS XI Conference!

I am very excited that my paper proposal (“Eunomics and The Ethics of Economic Development”) has been accepted for the 11th Conference of the International Society for Utilitarian Studies, in Lucca, Italy, June 23rd-25th.

The conference theme is the ethics of economic development, and further details can be found at: www.isus.ec.unipi.it

My paper revisits the distinction between utilitarianism and natural law thinking in considering how we should think about economic development in public policy debates, exploring some recent work on utilitarianism and virtue ethics, and drawing upon the work of the great legal thinker, Lon L. Fuller, and “eunomics” – what Fuller described as “the study of good and workable social arrangements”.
